***This post is written by Anna’s partner and biggest cheerleader. Hope you enjoy and looking forward to meeting you!***
I have a crush on your future therapist!
Wait, what?
___
Ok, I will get back to that statement shortly but first, what do people normally say about therapy?
Usually a mix of two things…
1-It does not work. I do not know what to say/or what they will ask me. I can’t find a therapist who gets me.
Or…
2-Therapy is a life-saver. I always feel so much better afterward. I wish I had found it sooner.
___
If you need therapy (let’s face it, we all do) how can you ensure you fall into #2 and not #1?
First…you need to recognize that everything we want in life and everything that is prohibiting us from getting there stems from recognizing that we all suffer/are stuck in our childhood trauma.
Whoa…
Once we recognize that, understand what ours is, and learn to walk with this, we are in a better situation.
Second…who you choose to walk with you on this journey is so important.
You want someone who does not have all the answers, one who does not have a sense of entitlement, and one who is doing the work themselves and embraces the struggle you are going through.
With all this in mind, I would like to introduce you to my partner, Anna Broadwell.
Anna lost her mother to stage 4 colon cancer days before she turned 13 and as a second-generation therapist (mom and dad were both therapists) continues to sit with this loss almost 3 decades later.
Anna gives presence to her clients while she continues walking on her own journey.
After almost 10 years as a therapist, Anna has re-branded her practice and is going all in on herself and with you.
Her specialties include:
-Cancer Support
-Grief
-Childhood Trauma
and others…
So proud of you Anna, grateful for everyone who will be vulnerable enough to partner with you and I have a feeling that after meeting you, I won’t be the only person to be “crushing on you”.
I would officially like to invite you to congratulate my partner, my best friend, and your future therapist, Anna Broadwell, and welcome you to Grounded In Compassion
