I hold a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Chaplaincy and Counseling.
Through my studies, I have gained valuable experience with a summer internship at WakeMed Health and Hospitals, where I worked with people who were in crisis, experiencing life-and-death situations. Often, these discussions focus on people struggling with who God is, whether God is real, and where God is in their situation.
Through these conversations, I was able to connect with people in their present situation as I can sit with the death of my mother and doubts I have had of God.
As a Chaplain and human being, I realize the power of presence and the act of simply being with people who are struggling with mortality and their spirituality is more important than having the right prayer or right thing to say.
I welcome open and curious exploration of spirituality with all my clients who have eclectic experiences and backgrounds.
