As a therapist, I hear the word trauma…A lot.
What exactly is trauma?
Dr. Frank Anderson, of The Trauma Insitute, says trauma is simply negative energy that you carry.
However, many people get triggered by the word trauma and wait to go to therapy only until after they hit rock bottom, saying they have suffered a traumatic experience.
While it can feel traumatic, the experience itself is called an overwhelming life experience.
Death, Divorce, and Cancer to name a few.
All of us have overwhelming life experiences and the trauma (negative energy we carry from these experiences) is what a therapist can help us process and feel.
